The purpose of Shining the Light for Christians is to help Christians become more knowledgeable about the Christian faith for their own edification and to enhance and strengthen their faith and spiritual life. If we profess to believe in Christ, we need to know why and what we believe, not only so we have a reasoned faith, but also because skeptics and non-believers will be asking and challenging us as we share our faith with them. We do not want to fumble around for answers to good questions. Instead, the Christian should be equipped to answer questions like the one Peter submits in 1 Peter 3:15–What is the reason for the hope I have in Christ?

God tells the Israelites through Jeremiah  that He will give them shepherds after His own heart, who will lead them with knowledge and understanding (Jer 3:15). We have many pastors, theologians, and scholars today who have done in-depth studying and have searched diligently for biblical answers to questions Christians and skeptics have.

Shining the Light for Christians will help by directing the Christian to these good shepherds. We have compiled lists and links to websites, YouTube channels, articles, books etc. from respected theologians, scholars, pastors, and experts who will answer a plethora of your biblical and theological questions.  And you will have questions!

I pray that you will be encouraged and challenged to be a continual biblical learner and then share your faith as you equip yourself with good answers to biblical questions. . . always remembering to do so with “gentleness and respect.”
